Our Story
Born from love. Built through resilience.
I am Erica Mejia, a proud Colombian born and raised in Long Beach, California. My journey into motherhood—and the reason Miel exists—has been shaped by love, resilience, and the belief that families are built in many beautiful ways.
In December 2016, I married the love of my life. Together we dreamed of becoming parents, and through IVF in Bogotá, Colombia, we welcomed our son, Cristian. Becoming his mother was one of the greatest joys of our lives.
In April of 2024, my world changed when I lost my husband and suddenly found myself navigating life as a widow while raising our son. In the midst of that heartbreak, I held tightly to the dreams we shared for our family. With courage and faith, I returned to Bogotá to continue the journey we had started together, and through IVF once again I welcomed my daughter, Penelope—a beautiful reminder that even through loss, life and hope can still grow.
My children are the heart behind Miel. As a mother, I wanted to create gentle, clean products families can trust—while honoring the many paths that lead people to parenthood. My hope is that Miel not only cares for babies, but also supports families through IVF, adoption, surrogacy, and every journey that brings a child into this world.
Because every child is a miracle—mine, and yours.
